The project is located on the surplus land at the existing Sister Kate’s accommodation site in Queens Park. It aims to provide a care environment and program that is both culturally and spiritually specific to the needs of Indigenous people through the development of the service model. The development intends to construct 80-bed care program to be operationalised while allow the potential development further 40 care units and a broader Aboriginal health care precinct.

The open-space-oriented masterplan enables the implementation of Aboriginal design principles including incorporating both large and intimate outdoor gathering spaces to provide more communal activities and more closely represent nature life and amenity.

The design documentation is expected to be initiated in mid-2021 and construction contract to be formalised by the end of 2022. The facility is expected to open mid-2024.
